The song Ritual Spirit
If you really like music, you probably have had many times when you first listen to a song, and you know you’ll have to listen to it again and again and again. My life is full of these loopy songs that I need to listen non-stop, and this “Ritual Spirit” by Massive Attack is one of them.
And what’s more, the effect of being trapped by the music is not only by listening to it, because as soon as you first watch the video they have produced, you are suddenly hipnotized by the moving light ball. Then, everything changes. Time stops, and thoughts disappear because you have all your senses focused in that music.

The effect of the mix of both the music and the video was such, that I found myself dancing to it freely around the house, playing the video in loop for hours and decided to channel those feelings into paper.
I had attended a course before where we were shown to draw our feelings and sensations to let them go. Sometimes it’s very difficult to explain with words what you feel, and drawing and painting allow you to just let the sensation come out and put it on paper with colours and different types of paintings. Just that.
Let everything you have inside go out and be released. This was what came out listening to the song and painting what it made me feel.
